Why Destinations Project?
Destinations Network is a directory of destination travel websites offering quality links and information services about a country, a region or a city to travelers worldwide. We are a growing group of travel websites that provide a fresh and valuable source of information to meet the demands of consumers who rely on online sources for travel information. Conditions to be a member:- To be a destination portal of a country, region or city.
- A member's website must be of use to visitors seeking information about the destination, with relevant and rich contents, something which normally comes along with a site extremely well positioned on search engines, and having a Page Rank of 4, 5 or more
- Members must provide useful information for the visitor, and cannot just be commercial sites
Understandably, we strictly reject:
- Link farms
- Purely affiliate websites
- Websites only dedicated to ecommerce or advertising, without offering useful information
What's in it for users?
The main objective is to present users with a really useful, consistent and tight network:- With the littlest of exceptions, our network is consistently made of websites totally independent one from the other, locally covering their destination, and therefore with people that know perfectly well the destination they work and offer

What's in it for members of the network?
The objectives and advantages for being a member site are quite clear:- To belong to an exclusive network or brotherhood of sites that share the same objectives, each in its own destination, that rather than competing, complete themselves, recommend and mutually guarantee each other, thus offering a better service to users.
- The possibility to obtain an external reference of all topics and categories they cover, making it more visible to users and better referenced (deep linking).
- External links are offered from a home page: this is much more involvement than a collection of "useful links" offered in a links page. A member is thus somehow much more responsible and involved with the recommendations they are making.
- External links received from the home page of other members are different from the ones given, thus increasing the value of this mutual recommendation.
Agreement and involvement
Joining our exclusive network is a privilege, and to maintain this as a privilege, we must strive to abide and keep abiding to two simple rules:- Involvement towards the members that one recommends by placing links to their home page in one's own, and towards Destinations Network by linking to it.
- Involvement towards users and the whole network by keeping up the high standards of one's own website in terms of quality and service.
